Hi, my name’s Jon.
I live in the Seattle area and have been paddle boarding since 2014, after a friend turned me on to it. I had done kayaking off and on for the past several years, but was always a little bit impeded by a small car, and limited space for storing a kayak. One day my friend took me out on Lake Washington and let me use his recently purchased board, and I fell in love with the feel of standing on water and the versatility of paddle boards.
After hours of research, I settled on my first paddle board, an inflatable that I could easily store and haul in my Honda hatchback. Plus it had a backpack for hauling on a trail to those remote alpine lakes… perfect.
The Paddle Boarders Paradise site is a tribute to this sport I love and a way for me to share it with others. My goal is to help people find the resources they need to get started and enjoy the water + the paddle. On some of the posts, or reviews I link to Amazon or other gear sellers. In those cases I may get a small percentage of compensation when people use those links and purchase an item. With that said, I aim to only send people to what I believe to be quality items. I aim to only discuss quality paddle board products here, and will do my best to always steer you in the right direction.
Okay – enough about me. Happy paddling!
